CFK is proud to open doors again to the ceramics program. Dennis Loucks, Artist in Residence, joined CFK in July 2025. Loucks is a ceramic artist and educator with an MFA from the University of Miami (Florida) and extensive experience in both fine art and teaching. His artistic practice spans traditional wheel throwing to contemporary sculptural work that has been exhibited nationally.
 
 

How to sign up for a ceramics class

If you have already filed an application with CFK in the past and have taken classes with us, you can simply fill out the Registration form for the class in which you would like to enroll and submit it to the Admissions office along with your payment.

Advanced Ceramics

An advanced course on wheel throwing and hand building. This course is designed for advanced ceramic artists.

Ceramics Studio Membership

The College offers a monthly studio membership option for community members to utilize the College’s ceramics studio and equipment within.
- Membership must be paid in full prior to using the ceramics studio.
- Active members have access to the studio, supplies, and equipment during designated studio hours.
- Access outside of scheduled hours requires prior approval from the Artist in Residence.
- The studio will be closed when the College is closed. Unauthorized access during closure may be considered trespassing.
- Memberships are valid for the entire month, regardless of the number of days attended.
- The monthly membership fee is $225 and is non-refundable for the following months: July, August, September, October, November, January, February,
March.
- During December, the fee is reduced to $125 due to limited access during Winter Break.
- The Artist in Residence maintains a list of active members and enforces access permissions.
- Members must show proof of payment to the Artist in Residence after paying the Business Office to gain entry.
- Continuing education students and participants in Mud-Pi are granted access to open studio hours as part of their registration.
