The College of the Florida Keys is proud to open its new Upper Keys Center in Key Largo (Mile Marker 106.4) in August 2021. The 38,000-sq.ft. center provides a new and improved location for CFK to deliver a wealth of education, workforce, and economic opportunities to the people of the Keys and south Florida. The expanded space will allow twice as many students to comfortably study, learn, and grow. The center features classrooms, nursing labs, a bio-chemical lab, apprenticeship labs, an auditorium, a testing center, and a library. In addition to the learning spaces, there are student and employee lounges, a student activities room, and a patio deck.

B.A.S.: Supervision & Management: focus in Business Management

Associate in Arts (A.A.)- General Studies

The smart start to earning a bachelor’s degree, the 60-credit program includes general education and elective courses similar to the first two years at a university—only classes are much smaller and much more affordable.

A.S.: Business Administration

Prepare for success in the dynamic world of business with an A.S. in Business Administration. This 60-credit program teaches fundamental skills in finance, accounting, management, and communications-- essential to thrive in virtually any industry.

A.S.: Hospitality & Ecotourism Management

Train for a career that can really take you places-- starting with the top tourist destination of the Florida Keys! Students in this 60-credit program prepare for management positions at hotel, motel, bed and breakfast, resort, club, marina, and other lodging organizations.

A.S.: Nursing

Approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing and fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), this 22-month RN program prepares students to function with intellectual and technical competence as registered nurses.

Electrical Apprenticeship

Earn while you learn in CFK's Electrical Apprenticeship program. Apprentices are employed full-time (PAID w/raises) and classes are FREE. Graduates of the program earn “journeyman” status as well as state and national credentials, positioning them well for a strong career in a growing job market.

Carpentry Apprenticeship

Earn while you learn in CFK's Carpentry Apprenticeship program. Apprentices are employed full-time (PAID w/raises) and classes are FREE. Graduates of the program earn “journeyman” status as well as state and national credentials, positioning them well for a strong career in a growing job market.

HVAC Apprenticeship

Earn while you learn in CFK's HVAC Apprenticeship program. Apprentices are employed full-time (PAID w/raises) and classes are FREE. Graduates of the program earn “journeyman” status as well as state and national credentials, positioning them well for a strong career in a growing job market.

Plumbing Apprenticeship

Earn while you learn in CFK's Plumbing Apprenticeship program. Apprentices are employed full-time (PAID w/raises) and classes are FREE. Graduates of the program earn “journeyman” status as well as state and national credentials, positioning them well for a strong career in a growing job market.

Basic Law Enforcement

Train for a career as a real-life hero! Upon completion of this 770-hour program, students are eligible to become a Florida Law Enforcement Officer, pending passage of the state exam.

Correctional Officer

This 420-hour Correctional Basic Recruit Training Course prepares students to become Florida Corrections Officers, upon passage of the state exam. The program meets the basic training requirements of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

Project ACCESS

Project ACCESS is an inclusive postsecondary education program for students with with intellectual disabilities and autism. The personalized program includes academics, social activities, employment experience, and independent living. Students may earn industry certification(s) and college credit certificate(s) while developing soft skills and confidence.

Certificate: Entrepreneurship

This 12-credit program is designed to provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to start, operate, maintain, and improve their own business.

Certificate: Business Operations

This 18-credit program teaches planning, organizing, directing and controlling of a business, with emphasis on selected theories of management and decision making and the knowledge and understanding necessary for managing people and functions.

Certificate: Business Specialist

This 12-credit program teaches planning, organizing, directing and controlling of a business, with emphasis on selected theories of management and decision making and the knowledge and understanding necessary for managing people and functions.

Certificate: Guest Services Specialist

This 15-credit technical certificate prepares students for immediate employment in the hospitality industry in the guest services area of hotels, resorts, and other hospitality and ecotourism related sites.

Certificate: Paramedic

This 42 college credit certificate program prepares students for employment as paramedics (Emergency Medical Technicians & Paramedics) to function at the basic pre-hospital paramedic level and treat various medical/trauma conditions, using appropriate equipment and materials.

Certificate: Room Division Specialist

This 12-credit technical certificate prepares students for immediate employment in the hospitality industry in the lodging and guest services area of hotels, resorts, and other hospitality and ecotourism related sites.

Certificate: Rooms Division Operations

This 19-credit program prepares students for immediate employment in the hospitality industry in the guest services area of hotels, resorts, and other hospitality and ecotourism related sites. The content includes coursework that prepares students for employment as supervisors and managers in the hotel/motel sectors of the hospitality industry.

Certificate: Rooms Division Management

This 30-credit technical certificate prepares students for immediate employment in the hospitality industry in the guest services area of hotels, resorts, and other hospitality and ecotourism related sites. The content includes and customer service skills, marketing techniques in the hospitality industry, laws that affect the hospitality industry, and management operations for hotels.
