Four members of The College of the Florida Keys (CFK) swim team were named to the 2024-25 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Team, recognizing exceptional academic performance throughout the year.
Student-athletes earn a place on one of three NJCAA All-Academic Teams based on their grade-point average (GPA): First Team (4.0 GPA), Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA), and Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA).
Kaemon Fagley and Edward Kertis, Jr. achieved First Team honors in the sport of Men’s Swimming and Diving, while Teagan Lavin and Isabella Oliverio earned Third Team honors in the sport of Women’s Swimming and Diving. All four CFK student-athletes, along with fellow teammate Lucas Montiel de la Nuez, were recognized by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) All-Academic team.
“Our students are driven to succeed whether in the pool or the classroom,” said Lori Bosco, CFK Athletic Director and Swim Coach. “Their commitment to the team and to their growth, among all their other responsibilities, is inspiring.”
The College is actively recruiting new athletes to join both the men’s and women’s teams, with preseason practice beginning in August and the competitive season starting in September.
