Our new, million-dollar, multi-chamber hyperbaric facility is currently dedicated to training and education in both the emergency management of diving accidents and the rapidly emerging new discipline of clinical hyperbaric medical technology.

Completion of this certificate will prepare students to safely operate a hyperbaric chamber with a patient and tender inside, recognize diving disorders or injuries and apply appropriate first aid and recognize oxygen toxicity and the proper response during recompression chamber operations. Students will also be prepared for the State of Florida and/or National Registry for certification by examination as an Emergency Medical Technician. Graduates may be qualified to work in an EMS system as an EMT.

 For undergraduate admission to a state university, students must have earned two years of sequential foreign language at the high school level, or complete (with passing grades) at least 8 semester hours at a previous college or university (as required by Florida Statute 240.233).
